Monsoon Sariska Jungle Safari & Stay at Guldaar Sariska Resort | Self Drive, Wildlife, Route Info

Sariska in monsoon is a completely different mood misty Aravalli hills, lush green forest tracks, and wildlife that suddenly becomes more visible. In this vlog we (Travelocracy family) stayed at Guldaar Sariska Resort, did a peaceful morning nature walk right next to the forest, spoke to the resort team, and then took our own cars for a self-drive jungle safari inside the Sariska landscape. We spotted langurs, herds of deer, wild boar, and even foxes. The day ended with a night drive back towards Noida via the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway + KMP and a tasty dinner stop at Fauji Dhaba, Alwar. If you’re planning Sariska in the rains, this is your perfect reference.

Morning Nature Walk at Sariska (From Guldaar Sariska Resort)

We started the day early, wen the forest still had that after-rain freshness. From the resort side, the views of the green Aravalli slopes were stunning washed clean by monsoon showers. Birds calling, peacocks in the distance, and that classic forest smell wet soil and neem.
This part of the video is purely to show how staying close to the forest makes the trip more experiential, not just a quick safari-in–safari-out trip.

About Guldaar Sariska Resort – Chat with Manager Vivek

We also captured a small interaction with Mr. Vivek from Guldaar Sariska Resort where he explained how the resort is located close to the Sariska side (Tehla gate side properties highlight this a lot) and is meant for people who want quiet stays, birding, and easy access to the park. Most listing sites also highlight the resort’s view and proximity to safari gates.

Self-Drive Jungle Safari Feel

After the walk, we entered the forest stretch in our own vehicles (Thar 4×4 and convoy). Sariska allows safari through official gypsies/canters via the Rajasthan Forest Department, but there are also beautiful forested approach roads and buffer routes where you can enjoy slow drives, especially in monsoon, without disturbing wildlife.
The track was slushy in parts perfect to show the 4×4 capability of the Mahindra Thar and visually it looks amazing in video: wet mud, green hills, overcast blue-grey sky.

Tickets, Timings & Safari Info (Put Latest in Video Description)

Official safaris for Sariska Tiger Reserve are booked through Rajasthan Forest Department / OBMS portal. Safari timings change by season and Wednesday is the weekly off. So, in the blog + video description we’ll ask viewers to check latest rates online because prices and slots get updated.

Wildlife Spotted

During the drive we spotted:

  • Langurs sitting relaxed on trees
  • Spotted / sambar type deers grazing near the green patches
  • Wild boar crossing the track
  • Foxes always a delight to catch on camera
This mix of common-yet-beautiful sightings is typical of Sariska in monsoon, when herbivores come out due to fresh grass.

Green Lush Forest & Mountains (Monsoon Look)

This is the hero of the video Sariska in rains. The hills that are usually brown-golden turn deep green, water puddles create reflections, and the forest roads look cinematic. Even the Times of India note on reopening after monsoon talks about routes being repaired because of heavy rains so your video in this season will look even more relevant.

The Adventure Element – Thar 4×4

  • slush patches
  • puddle crossings
  • narrow forest tracks
  • driving slow to not disturb animals
This makes the vlog more “adventure travel” than just “we went to a tiger reserve”.

Return Drive: Sariska → Alwar → Delhi–Mumbai Expressway→ KMP → Noida

After wrapping up at Sariska, we started back for Noida using the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway stretch and KMP the most convenient way nowadays for NCR people visiting Rajasthan wildlife circuits. You can add a small para on road condition, tolls, fuel stop and how late-night highway in monsoon looks.

Dinner Halt – Fauji Dhaba, Alwar

We closed the day with dinner at Fauji Dhaba, Alwar casual, local, hearty food

After a day in the forest, nothing like a highway dhaba meal.
